Note: Sleeper trains are designed and equipped according to a satisfactory standard and quality that was set up by the Egyptian Railway Authority. Sleeper train takes about 14 hours from Cairo to Aswan. However, we recommend using domestic flights with supplement US$ 85 per person instead of spending time in sleeper trains.

Amazing Tour with Egypt Key Tours

I had an amazing private tour of the pyramids of Giza and old Cairo lead by Jimmy from Egypt Key Tours. My Group had a very limited time (18hr Cairo layover) and the trip jimmy put together was amazing. Unfortunately our arrival was after closing of the pyramids but jimmy arranged a special camel ride to the backside of the pyramids which was crazy amazing.

After that we had a pre-arranged dinner and afterwards a private tour of the Old Cairo after dark. The market and architecture of Old Cairo is unforgettably and Jimmy made the whole experience even more unforgettable by his meticulous planning and knowledge.

He was very easy to listen to (a walking history book) and made us feel absolutely safe. When I return to Egypt there will be two certainties-that I have more than 18 hrs, and that I book with Egypt Key Tours!

DAY 1: Arrival Cairo

Upon arrival to Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted by Egypt Key Tours representative who will help you during passport control, luggage area. Then, you will be transferred to you hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle for check in and overnight in Cairo.

DAY 2: Cairo Sightseeing – Train to Aswan.

At 8.00 am , Marvel at the Great pyramids of Giza, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. See the enigmatic great Sphinx – the oldest monumental sculpture in the world.

Wonder at the Egyptian Museum and see Tutankhamen’s priceless treasures which discovered by Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings in 1922.

Then moving to “Islamic Cairo” and taking a walking tour in the 1000 years old el Moez street which is considered as an open air museum for Terrific Islamic Buildings which are decorated with different patterns and paints, then ending our tour with going to Khan el Khalili Bazaar which is one of Cairo’s main attractions.

After that you will be transferred to Giza railway station to take the Sleeper Train towards Aswan and staying on the train overnight.

DAY 3: Aswan Sightseeing -Nile Cruise

Upon arrival to Aswan station in the morning,  Egypt Key tour guide will be waiting you outside the railway station holding a sign with your name, then escorting you to visit the High Dam, Philae Temple and unfinished Obelisk.

Then , after finishing this great tour , going for the Nile Cruise embarkation, Having Lunch and freshen up.

Later, enjoy sailing in a traditional Felucca across the Nile to see the botanical gardens on Kitchener’s island.

DAY 4: Abu Simbel - Sail to Kom Ombo Temple.

You will bring with you Breakfast Box from the Cruise, before starting your trip to Abu Simbel Temples. It takes about a 3 hours and half drive one way from Aswan to Abu Simbel by private air-conditioned vehicle. Upon arrival at Abu Simbel, enjoy the most remarkable temples of Abu Simbel with their unique style and consider the largest rock cut temple in the world and the masterpieces of ancient Egypt. They reflect the glory and grandeur of ancient Egypt.

The great Abu Simbel called the Sun Temple of Ramses II, the Temple of Queen Nefertari is also called Temple of Hathor who was the wife of the sun god. So, in a symbolic way, the two temples, that of Ramses II and that of Nefertari, bring Ramses and Nefertari, Hathor and the Sun Temple together as one.

Afternoon , Start sailing to Kom Ombo , and Tour the temple of Kom ombo, dedicated to the crocodile-headed god, Sobek.

This evening dress up in traditional clothing and experience a fun filled Egyptian dinner and Galabeya party.

DAY 5: Edfu – Luxor East Bank

Morning after breakfast, going to visit Egypt best-preserved cult temple at Edfu dedicated to the Falcon god Horus.

Sail to Luxor, and afternoon visit the enormous temple complex at Karnak, featuring the temple of Amun and the amazing Avenue of the sphinx. Then visit the grand temple of Luxor

DAY 6: DISEMBARK –WEST BANK- FLY TO CAIRO.

Disembarkation after breakfast, then Discover the Valley of the Kings in the Theban Hills west of the Nile, where tombs were built for the powerful nobles of the New kingdom. Admire Queen Hatshepsut’s impressive temple at Deir el- Bahri.And view the Colossi of Memnon carved from quartzite sandstone.

After finishing the trip, you will be transferred to Luxor railway station to take the Sleeper Train towards Cairoand staying on the train overnight.

DAY 7: Final Departure

Upon arrival to Giza Station, you will be met and assisted by Egypt Key Tours representative who will help you and transfer to Cairo Airport to fly back to your home.
