Amazing Tour with Egypt Key Tours

I had an amazing private tour of the pyramids of Giza and old Cairo lead by Jimmy from Egypt Key Tours. My Group had a very limited time (18hr Cairo layover) and the trip jimmy put together was amazing. Unfortunately our arrival was after closing of the pyramids but jimmy arranged a special camel ride to the backside of the pyramids which was crazy amazing.

After that we had a pre-arranged dinner and afterwards a private tour of the Old Cairo after dark. The market and architecture of Old Cairo is unforgettably and Jimmy made the whole experience even more unforgettable by his meticulous planning and knowledge.

He was very easy to listen to (a walking history book) and made us feel absolutely safe. When I return to Egypt there will be two certainties-that I have more than 18 hrs, and that I book with Egypt Key Tours!

DAY 1: Arrival Cairo

Upon arrival to Cairo international airport, you will be met and assisted by Egypt Key Tours representative who will help you during passport control, luggage area. Then, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cairo by a private air-conditioned vehicle for check in and overnight in Cairo.

DAY 2:Cairo City Tour.

At 8.00 am, Egypt Key Tours tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel, then he will transfer you by an air conditioned vehicle to visit the Giza Plateau to witness the impressive 3 Pyramids of Kings Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure which are guarded by the rock-cut statue (The Sphinx). The Great Pyramid of King Cheops is the only wonder of the seven wonders of the ancient world that is still standing today, although it is 2,000 years older than any other wonder on the list. At the same sight you will visit also the Valley Temple of King Chephren, near the Sphinx Statue.

After that going to visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities which was built in 1902 and it exhibits a large number of items and treasures (exceeding 12,0000 masterpieces) dating back to the ancient Egyptian period and Greco-Roman period including the marvelous collection of the child king Tut Ankh Amon.

Then our Egypt Key Tours tour guide will escort you to the Nile River bank,  to enjoy a relaxing experience on one of the Felucca boats on the surface of the longest River in the World “The Nile” . Enjoy the magnificent view of Cairo from the felucca  boat in the afternoon time.

Optional: Enjoy a terrific camel ride around these magnificent structures.

After that, you will drop back to your hotel, Cairo overnight.

Day 3: Alexandria Sightseeing .

At 7.00 am, checking out, then You will be escorted in an air conditioned vehicle with our Egypt Key Tours tour guide towards Alexandria (about 3 Hrs. Driving) to visit the Catacombs, which are the largest Roman cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. The Catacombs of Kom Al Shoqafa is considered one of the wonders of the middle Ages.

Then you will visit Pompey’s Pillar, it was constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century, originally from the Temple of Serapis.

After that going to visit The Roman Amphitheatre which is Located in the heart of Alexandria, Kom el-Dikka is an extensive Roman theatrical and residential complex. It includes the only known Roman amphitheater in Egypt

Then you drive to visit the Library of Alexandria(Photo Stop), one of the biggest in the world (visit open court+free museum) the largest and most significant library in ancient world. The library is famous for having been burned, and was very famous all over the ancient world for its huge books capacity of different sciences and literature.

Then you will stop to take photos at Qaitbay fort, which is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds not only in Egypt but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast. The fort erected on the exact site of the famous lighthouse of Alexandria, which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Alexandria to stay overnight.

Day 4:Travel to Siwa Oasis .

In the morning after breakfast, check out the hotel in Alexandria, then  Our Tour Guide will pick you from your hotel by air-conditioned vehicle to travel to Siwa Oasis.

In the middle of our way, we will stop at Marsa Matrouh, one of the beautiful cities on the Mediterranean Sea Cost, You will have lunch there at Seafood restaurant,then proceed your way to Siwa oasis.Upon arrival to Siwa , you will be transferred to your hotel to check in and stay overnight

Day 5:Siwa Oasis Sightseeing .

After breakfast and checking out,You will be accompanied by your tour guide to visit the famous sites around Siwa, Starting with the The Temple of the Oracle or the Temple of Alexander the Great. It was built on the Aghurmi Plateau (about 4 km east of Siwan Town). Its remains now have beautiful drawings and carvings telling the story of the temple with a portrait to god Amon. The temple is famous because it’s believed that Alexander the Great had visited the temple.

Moving on to visit Cleopatra’s Pool “Ein Guba” which is a stone pool fed by a natural hot spring where the Egyptian queen herself is said to have swam there during her visit to Siwa. Now, you can take a nice swim there to refresh yourself after a hot day tour.

Then you will visit Dakrour Mountain, one of the most admired mountains in Egypt where you will enjoy the best view of the Oasis. After that you will visit the Salt lake,relaxing and no need to know how to swim because the salt literally makes you float.

Note: We recommend to bring Swimsuit,hiking shoes, sweat pants, torch light and power bank.

Then you will adventure the desert by discovering the Great Sand Sea by Jeep 4×4, Visit the hot and Cold spring Bir Waheed. The Great Sand Sea is considered one of the best places in which you can enjoy sand skiing, After That you will be transferred to spend the Overnight at Camping with Bedouin Dinner and Breakfast.

Day 6:Siwa / Back to Cairo .

After breakfast,You tour guide will transfer you to visit  Shali “the old city of Siwa”, It was founded in the 13th century .It was built on a hill inside a protective wall originally breached by a single gate; to be a fortress in the middle of Siwa city to protect the city from the tribal attacks.Then the Mountain of the Dead “Gabal al Maouta” which is located 1 km outside the city of Siwa, the mountain is full of ancient tombs and has a calcareous soil and the tombs take the shape of a hive of a bee carved in the stone. There are some interesting tombs worth to be visited like Niperpathot, Si-Amon, Mesu Isis, and the Crocodile tomb.

After you finish the tour, you will be transfer back to Cairo

Day 7: Pyramids Tour .

At 8.00 am, Egypt Key Tours tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel, then he will transfer you by an air conditioned vehicle to visit the Complex of Saqqara which belongs to King Zoser  and his step pyramid which is considered the first pyramid in Egypt and the first rock-cut building in the history. also you will have the chance to visit Imhotep Museum, the great architect who built the step pyramid.

Moving on towards Memphis “one of the ancient Egyptian Capitals until around 2,200 BC” which was a cult center for God Ptah god of creation and artworks , you will find there a lot of temples and monuments dedicated for him. And you will witness also the beautiful statues which belong to the Great King Ramses II , such as the alabaster Sphinx and the Colossal statue which lies inside the museum of Memphis.

After that heading to Dahshur . The pyramid field of Dahshur lies about 10 km south of Saqqara. The pyramids here include the famed Bent and Red Pyramids built by the 4th Dynasty king Senefru (father of Khufu, builder of the Great Pyramid). The Bent pyramid is the second funerary monument of King Senefru’s Complex after Meidum Pyramid .the reason of its shape it was originally designed to rise at the angle of 52°, this was decreased to 43.5° partway up, and a girdle was built around the base, apparently because the foundations were unstable and the angle too steep for safety. The Red Pyramid, Seneferu’s third funerary monument, is the first successful true (straight-sided) pyramid ever built. It’s called the red because of the reddish color of the stones used in its construction.

After ending the tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel to stay overnight.

Day 8: Cairo City Tour 2 .

At 8.30 am, Our Egypt Key Tours tour guide will meet us at the lobby of your hotel, then he will transfer you by an air conditioned vehicle to visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization the first of its kind in Egypt and the Arab world commencing with the predynastic period ending with the modern and contemporary eras.

Also you will visit the Royal Mummies Hall which is designed to display the mummies of ancient kings and queens of Egypt. The design aims to give the visitors the feeling of strolling down the Valley of the Kings, where most of these mummies were originally resting.

Then, going to visit one of the most Stunning construction in Cairo The Citadel of Saladin Al Ayouby. It was built in 12th century to fortify Cairo against the Crusaders. The citadel was used as the seat of the king and his government in Egypt for many centuries and many dynasties including the Ayyubids, the Mamluks, and even some Ottomans ruled over Egypt from the Citadel. , and the Great Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali Pasha which stands proudly on the highest point inside the courtyard of the Citadel of Saladin. It’s one the landmarks in Cairo with its huge space , the beautiful decorations on its walls , and its remarkable domes and minarets.

Then moving to “Islamic Cairo” and taking a walking tour in the 1000 years old el Moez street which is considered as an open air museum for Terrific Islamic Buildings which are decorated with different patterns and paints, then ending our tour  with going to Khan el Khalili Bazaar which is one of Cairo’s main attractions ..the district of Khan el Khalili  was originally a mausoleum called “el Zaafran” for the burial of Fatimid Caliphs  ,after that it became a district for the Turkish community during the Ottoman period , and now it becomes a bazzar where you will find many souvenirs shops ,coffeehouses “Café” serving Arabic coffee and offering Hookah “Shisha”, and restaurants throughout the area.

After ending the tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel to stay overnight.

Day 9: Final Departure .

Checking out from your hotel after breakfast and transfer to Cairo Airport to fly back to your home.
