Amazing Tour with Egypt Key Tours

I had an amazing private tour of the pyramids of Giza and old Cairo lead by Jimmy from Egypt Key Tours. My Group had a very limited time (18hr Cairo layover) and the trip jimmy put together was amazing. Unfortunately our arrival was after closing of the pyramids but jimmy arranged a special camel ride to the backside of the pyramids which was crazy amazing.

After that we had a pre-arranged dinner and afterwards a private tour of the Old Cairo after dark. The market and architecture of Old Cairo is unforgettably and Jimmy made the whole experience even more unforgettable by his meticulous planning and knowledge.

He was very easy to listen to (a walking history book) and made us feel absolutely safe. When I return to Egypt there will be two certainties-that I have more than 18 hrs, and that I book with Egypt Key Tours!

Cairo Walking Tour

Start your Walking Tour in Cairo as your guide will explain to you all the things on the way as well as other aspects of your tour that will fascinate you once you get into the vehicle.

You will visit Muizz Street, this is one of Cairo’s oldest streets. At approximately one kilometer long, this beautiful street features all kinds of colourful shops selling African spices, old antiques, clothing and perfumes and more.

Explore the old gates of Cairo like Bab Zwayla which is the main gate of Medieval Cairo, outside the gate, you can see the mosque of Al-Saleh Talai’e and you will get the opportunity to climb up the stairs and reach its top to see a captivating view of the minarets of Cairo. Next to Bab Zwayla, you can see the unique mosque of Sultan Al-Mo’ayyad which goes back to the tenth century. You will have a walk into The Tent Makers Market is located in a 300-meter-long street overlooking Bab Zuwayla.

We are going to take you inside the complex of sultan Al Ghouri which is near to the Al-Azhar mosque. Across the street, you will see the complex of Al Mu’ezz with tremendous old Islamic architecture that goes back to the 13th-15th century.

In Addition to the Qalawoun complex from the Mamluks time while passing by the Copper, Silver, and gold shops then you can visit an ancient Islamic house known as El Sehemy House (Bayt Al Suhaymi) which used to be the official accommodation for the students of Al Azhar School, that takes up to 200 students.

We will continue our Islamic Cairo Walking Tour and move from the location of Khan El Khalili bazaar to the site of Bab El Fateh which is another ancient gate of old Cairo, to take some photos and enjoy the great view from the Palace of Bishtack and the Souhaimy house. Finally, you can sit in a Café in the middle of Khan El Khalili which is called el Feshawy Café.

After the tour , your tour guide will drop back to your hotel.
