Do I Need a Visa to Visit Egypt, And If So, How I Do Acquire One, How much it cost in 2021?

For the vast majority of travelers to Egypt, a valid passport and a travel visa is required. A visa can easily be purchased at the airport when you arrive. The cost for a single-entry, 30-day tourist visa is $25 (or equivalent in Euro), must be paid in cash (no credit or debit cards accepted), and your passport must be valid for at least six months. Citizens of all European countries, Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, South Korea, Macedonia, New Zealand, Norway, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine and United States can obtain a visa upon arrival.

Visas can also be purchased beforehand through Egypt’s Visa e-Portal: https://visa2egypt.gov.eg. Forty-one different nationalities are eligible to purchase the e-visa, however, it’s far easier to simply buy the visa at the airport.

Do Children also need a Visa?

Yes, Even if they are minors and/or included in the passport of their parents.

What types of money and credit cards are accepted in Egypt?

In tourist areas, all major credit cards, Euros, and US dollars are widely accepted. However, it’s nice to have a few Egyptian Pound notes and coins for tipping, minor purchases, and small shops. There are ATMs at banks throughout all the major tourism areas where you can withdrawal Egyptian Pounds. Any currency exchange should be taken care of at one of the many officially authorized kiosks at the airport.

If I Book a Tour, Will I Be Travelling In a Group, or Will Be a Private Tour?

Do these tours have set dates?

No, we offer privately guided tours so the tours can leave on any day that is requested. Choose whenever to leave according to your own schedules.

What does the tour price include?

The price includes accommodations, internal flights and transfers, airport assistant, a private guide, a private driver, and entrance/park fees as specified in the tour itinerary.

What does the tour price not include?

The price does not include flights to and from the tour’s start and end points, travel insurance, beverages, tipping, laundry, and other personal expenses (unless noted).

How many people are on each tour?

All tours offered by Egypt Key Tours are privately guided so the only people on your tour will be whoever is traveling with you and your private tour guide.

Are there additional fees for a solo traveler?

Yes, all prices listed are per person based on a double-occupancy room. We can accommodate solo travelers upon request.

Can hotel categories be varied?

What is the best time to visit Egypt?

The duration from October till April is considered by many travelers the best time to visit Egypt which is between winter & spring. Yes, but ticket sales for this are restricted to 300 people per day. Tickets for this can only be bought at the main entrance, not the entrance close to the Sphinx.
